7 Indian players move into the quarterfinal of men’s singles event at M25 Bhopal

Seven Indian players SD Prajwal Dev(1), DigvijayPratap Singh(5), Nitin Sinha, Rohan Mehra, Siddhant Banthia and Manish Sureshkumar moved to quarterfinals  of men’s singles event of USD 30 K World tennis Tour ITF at Arera Club Bhopal. Grigoriy Lomakin of Kazakhstan is the sole foreign player to qualify for the quarterfinals of singles and semi finals of doubles event. Second seed Dev Javia lost to consistent Siddhant Banthia.

However cynosure of all eyes was the demure Udit Kamboj, who announced his arrival on the ITF’s arena with emphatic wins first over Davis cupper Vishnu Vardhan in the inaugural match on 25th November and then outmaneuvered Jimi Hendrix of Netherlands in a tough three setter 6-3, 6-7, 6-4. Like a rising sun, as his name signifies, he focused on the job of playing tennis without any emotion or expression of elation, shout of disappointment, arguments, or heated exchange with umpire or lines man. Having finished the job of winning very methodically just spared a smile after for the admiring spectators 

Davis cuppers Aryan Shah and Vishnu Vardhan march into the semi-finals of the double events with their respective doubles partners.
