Bollipalli & Barrientos Stun Top Seeds to Claim Santiago Title
In a sensational display of doubles dominance, the unseeded duo of Rithvik Bollipalli (India) and Nicolas Barrientos (Colombia) clinched the ATP Santiago title with a commanding 6-3, 6-2 victory over top-seeded Argentinians Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni.
This triumph marks Bollipalli’s second ATP title, following his 2024 Almaty win with Arjun Kadhe. The 23-year-old also achieves a career-high ATP doubles ranking of #66, making him the youngest player in the Top 70.
Their path to victory was nothing short of remarkable, as they took down both the top-seeded and third-seeded teams en route to the trophy. Along with the championship glory, they also secured $35,980 in prize money ($17,990 each).
