Indian duo shines at the ATP 75 Little Rock Open 2025

Indian duo pair Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha are through to the Semi-finals in ATP Challenger Little Rock.

Amidst the on-going craze of Roland Garros grand slam, where each day, we are witnessing new storylines and a couple of upsets. On the other hand, we have a bunch of Indian tennis players competing in the doubles event across the world, the duo of Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, currently ranked 103 and Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha, currently ranked 156 are competing in the UAMS Health Little Rock Open 2025, held in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States.

This is the tournament’s fifth edition as an ATP Challenger Tour. Challenger tours are considered as the second highest tier of tennis competition, which includes singles and doubles play.

Their journey has been fruitful so far, knocking out the all American pair of Patrick Maloney and Mac Kiger in Round 1 where both Jeevan and Niki had a smooth play and didn’t gave away break points, thus winning in straight sets with the final score of 7-5 & 5-4.

In the Quarter-finals, they faced the all New Zealand pair of James Wyatt and Finn Reynolds. It was a topsy turvy outing with the first set not going in favour of the Indian duos until they made a great comeback in the second set. The final score was 2-6, 6-2 (11-9 tie-breaks).

The Indian duo pair will be up against Antoine Escoffier from France and Aziz Dougaz from Tunisia in the Semi-finals. The match will begin on 31st May 2025, 20:20 IST* (07:50 PST)
