O’Brien Quartet Formidable in Fillies’ Mile

Trainer Aidan O’Brien has entered four fillies in the Oct. 10 Fillies’ Mile (G1) at Newmarket Racecourse, with the Prestige Fillies Stakes (G3) and Moyglare Stud Stakes (G1) winner Precise  set to be joined by Moments of Joy , Sugar Island , and Composing

Precise is currently the 10-1 second favorite for next year’s One Thousand Guineas (G1) over the Fillies’ Mile course and distance next May, with O’Brien’s Prix Marcel Boussac (G1) winner Diamond Necklace —who was not among the 11 declarations for Friday’s race—heading the betting at 8-1.

Desert Flower  completed the double with victories in both Rowley Mile group 1 races earlier this year, but the O’Brien-trained Minding  was the previous filly to achieve the feat before that.

The Ballydoyle trainer is currently tied with Sir Henry Cecil and John Gosden for most victories in the race on six as he marches closer to breaking his own record for top-level victories in a season.

Godolphin will be hoping to win the race for the second time in as many years with Dance To The Music , while the stunningly-bred Frankel   relative Legacy Link represents fellow superpower outfit Juddmonte.
