Ramkumar and Jeevan to play Prajwal Dev and Nitin Kumar Sinha in All-India Doubles Final

The evening session at the Adityan ITF M25 Chennai saw the top-seeded doubles pair Ramkumar Ramanathan and Jeevan Nedunchezhian take on Max Houkes and Niels Visker. While Ramkumar and Jeevan took the first set 6-2, the second set proved to be a lot tighter, with Ram and Jeevan eventually winning the set on a tie break 7-6(4) to book a place in the final to be played tomorrow.

The second doubles match between second seed Japanese pair of Taisei Ichikawa and Masamichi Imamura and third seed Prajwal Dev and Nitin Kumar Sinha seemed to have a close contest with the Indian pair taking the first set to the tie break and winning the set 7-6(6). The Japanese pair stormed back in the second with a 7-6(9) win. The match was well set up for a scintillating finish with a 10 point tie break, which Dev and Sinha won 11-9.

Earlier in the day, top seed Max Houkes of Netherlands beat Prajwal Dev in the singles quarter finals of the Adityan ITF M25 International Tennis Tournament 2026 held at the SDAT Tennis Stadium Nungambakkam Chennai.

Max Houkes of Netherlands played Prajwal Dev in a match of big serves, not allowing Prajwal to settle down, winning the first set in the tie break. The second set was again a close affair with both the players playing hard and Houkes broke Prajwal’s serve to close the match out at 7-6(5), 6-4

The match of the day featured second seed Ilia Simakin and Domnic Palan. The match featured hard hitting, fast paced baseline game and a lot of close and disputed calls. Simakin prevailed in a match of attraction 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

The match between third seed Jonas Forejtek and Aziz Ouakaa was a beauty. Jonas’s power game was no match for Aziz with Jonas winning 6-3, 6-0.

The semi finals promise to be a wholesome affair with Max Houkes facing Jonas Forejtek and Niels Visker playing Ilia Simakin tomorrow at 10 AM. The contrasting styles of the matchups are bound to make the matches exciting.
