Action Commences at M15 Bhubaneswar 2025

The ITF World Tennis Tour M15 Bhubaneswar 2025 commenced with the Singles Qualifying First Round yesterday. Today, a simple but dignified inaugural ceremony was held at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Centre.

This tournament is organised by the Odisha Tennis Association in collaboration with the Department of Youth & Sports, Government of Odisha.

Chief Guest:

  • Shri Dayal Gangwar, IPS – Addl. D.G. of Police, Communication, Odisha, Cuttack

Guest of Honour:

  • Shri Asutosh Rath – Executive Director (HR & Administration), NALCO

Other Guests Present:

  • Shri Sanjeeb Panda, IPS – Hony. Secretary, OTA
  • Shri Sambit Patnaik – Joint Secretary and Tournament Director
  • Shri. Dharaka Elawalla (Sri Lanka) – ITF Supervisor
  • Members of the Odisha Tennis Association, including Vice Presidents Shri Brahmananda Mishra, Shri Subhransu Sarangi, Treasurer Shri Satyajit Mohanty and others.

A total of 88 players from India, Russia, Kazakhstan, Australia, USA, Netherlands, and Ukraine are participating in the event.

All local players exited in the first qualifying round except Pratyush Mohanty, who won two matches:

  • def. Yash Yadav 1-6, 7-6(8), [11-9]

Pratyush will play the final qualifying round tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s Schedule

  • Final qualifying round followed by main draw matches from 9:00 AM onwards.
