Aryan Shah through to singles final; Kalyanpur/Pearson win doubles title in Ahmedabad


Local city boy Aryan Shah made a dominant performance in the semi-final, winning easily with a 6-2, 6-0 scoreline. His excellent baseline game and strategic play proved too much for his opponent, Krish, who struggled to keep up. Aryan’s aggressive and consistent shots kept Krish on the defensive, making it tough for him to recover.

In the other semi-final, Jay Clarke defeated Karan Singh 6-4, 6-4, showcasing solid serving and strong groundstrokes throughout the match. Jay maintained control, breaking Karan’s serve at crucial points to secure the win.

The doubles final was an exciting, neck-and-neck battle. Kody Pearson and Adil Kalyanpur teamed up to face Nick Chappell and Grigory Lomakin in an intense match. Despite losing the second set 4-6, Pearson and Kalyanpur managed to clinch a thrilling 16-14 win in the deciding tiebreak.

Both teams exhibited great teamwork and determination, but in the end, Kody and Adil’s resilience in the tiebreak earned them the victory. It was a match full of momentum shifts, with both teams showing incredible skill and sportsmanship. The win was a well-deserved reward for Kody and Adil’s persistence under pressure.
