Bopanna becomes oldest Masters 1000 match winner

Indian tennis icon Rohan Bopanna has etched his name into the record books once again! At 45 years and 1 month, Bopanna became the oldest player ever—in either singles or doubles—to win a match at the prestigious ATP Masters 1000 level.
The historic moment came at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, where Bopanna teamed up with American rising star Ben Shelton. The duo delivered a solid performance, defeating the team of Francisco Cerundolo and Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, in the first round.
This incredible feat breaks the previous record held by Canadian legend Daniel Nestor, who was 44 years and 8 months old when he won a match at the 2017 Madrid Masters—ironically against Bopanna himself, who was then partnering with Pablo Cuevas.
With his relentless passion and longevity, Bopanna continues to inspire fans around the world. Age is just a number for this doubles maestro!
