Bopanna/Gille Suffer First-Round Exit at Wimbledon
India’s Rohan Bopanna and Belgium’s Sander Gille made an early exit at Wimbledon 2025, falling in the opening round to the third-seeded German duo of Tim Pütz and Kevin Krawietz. The experienced German pair proved too strong on the day, clinching the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
Despite coming into the match with hopes of a deep run, Bopanna and Gille couldn’t find their rhythm against the consistent and aggressive play of Pütz and Krawietz. The German team, known for their Grand Slam experience and chemistry, capitalized on key moments, breaking serve once in each set to seal their spot in the second round.
This marks a disappointing end to the Wimbledon campaign for Bopanna and Gille, who will now look to regroup ahead of the hard court season.
