IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians completes three run outs to take team hat-trick against Delhi Capitals
Mumbai Indians completed three run outs off three consecutive deliveries and recorded a team hat-trick against Delhi Capitals during their Indian Premier League 2025 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.
The Capitals lost Ashutosh Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohit Sharma off those three deliveries.
The home side needed 23 runs to win off the final 12 deliveries of the innings. Ashutosh picked two boundaries off the first three deliveries in Jasprit Bumrah’s over, putting the side just 15 runs from the win with nine deliveries.
However, Ashutosh departed on the fourth delivery of the over while trying to complete a second run. Kuldeep Yadav was nabbed in similar fashion, falling short at the striker’s, falling short at the striker’s end after hitting to long on and trying a second run.
Mohit was accounted for by a direct hit from Mitchell Santner, who stopped the ball at midwicket and made a one-handed throw at the stumps at the non-striker’s end.
