IPL 2025: Punjab Kings breaks 16-year-old record to defend lowest total in IPL history


Punjab Kings defended the lowest total in the history of the Indian Premier League when is defended 111 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in New Chandigarh on Tuesday.

The Kings bundled out the Knight Riders for 95 runs after scoring 111 in the first innings to win the match by 16 runs. The previous record was held by Chennai Super Kings which had defended 116 runs during the 2009 season.

Yuzvendra Chahal racked up the second-best figures of his IPL career with four for 28 in his four overs and claimed the Player of the Match award.
