IPL 2025: Who is Xavier Bartlett, the Australia pacer on debut for Punjab Kings against KKR?
Punjab Kings handed a debut to Australia pace bowler Xavier Bartlett during its Indian Premier League 2025 match against Kolkata Knight Riders in New Chandigarh on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old has played two One-Day Internationals and seven T20Is for Australia. He made his debut in both formats in 2024. Bartlett has 11 wickets in his seven T20I appearances at an economy of 6.84.
Bartlett was the leading wicket-taker in the Big Bash 2024 which led to his national team call-up. He picked 20 wickets from 11 games for Brisbane Heat at an average of 14.70 and an economy rate of less than eight an over.
He was signed by Punjab Kings for Rs. 80 lakh during the 2025 mega auction.
