J100 Pune: Giant Killer Gautam to Face Samarth in Boys Singles final
PUNE, December 5, 2025 — The Gadre Marine MSLTA – ITF Grade 3 Junior Tennis Championship, held at Deccan Gymkhana, is set for a thrilling conclusion with the singles finals decided today.
Boys’ Singles Final Set
Giant killer Gautam Venkatraman (IND), fresh off upsetting the top seed yesterday, continued his remarkable run by defeating fourth seed Pratik Navin (AUS) in a hard-fought semifinal, 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-4.
Venkatraman will face third seed Samarth Sahita (IND), who advanced after a straight-sets win over fifth seed Praneel Sharma (IND), 7-5, 7-5.
Girls’ Singles Final
The final will feature a top-seed clash between Kazakhstan’s Albina Kakenova [1] and India’s Diya Ramesh [2].
- Kakenova overcame a tough challenge from local player Parthsarthi Mundhe (IND) in a three-hour marathon, winning 7-6(4), 6-7(5), 6-4.
- Diya Ramesh fought back after losing the first set to defeat Harsha Oruganti (IND), 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
