Jensi Kanabar Wins Asian U-14 Title in Manila
India’s top-seeded junior, Jensi Dipakbhai Kanabar [UTR 8.67], has won the girls’ singles title at the GSPDP Asian Under-14 Junior Championships in Manila, Philippines.
In a dominant performance in the final, Kanabar defeated the tournament’s second seed, Lim Yerin [UTR 8.94] of South Korea. Despite facing an opponent with a higher Universal Tennis Rating (UTR), she controlled the match from the start, securing a commanding 6-1, 6-2 victory to claim the championship.
This victory is a significant milestone, as it grants Kanabar a spot in the prestigious Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl Under-14 championships, set to take place in Florida in December 2025.
