Nagal, Shah named in Indian squad for Swiss tie
A meeting of the Professional Selection Committee of the All India Tennis Association
for selecting the Davis Cup team to represent India in the World Group 1 Tie against
Switzerland being held on 12th & 13th September 2025 at Biel, Switzerland was held
virtually on 25th July 2025.
The Committee consists of the following:
Mr. Nandan Bal – Chairman
Mr. Balram Singh
Ms. Sai Jayalakshmy
The selection meeting was also attended by the captain of the Indian Davis Cup team
Mr Rohit Rajpal, Mr Ashutosh Singh, coach, and the Hon. Secretary General of AITA Mr
Anil Dhupar.
Based on the rankings, availability & performance, the following players were selected:-
- Sumit Nagal
- Karan Singh
- Aryan Shah
- Yuki Bhambri
- N Sriram Balaji
- Dhakshineswar Suresh (Reserve)
- Mukund Sasikumar (Reserve)
- Rithvik Bollipalli (Reserve)
Mr Rohit Rajpal will be the Captain of the Team for this tie and Mr Ashutosh Singh
will be the coach of the team.
