Prashant Sutar Appointed as New MSLTA President



Mumbai, March 24, 2025: Former national tennis player, certified coach, and ex-Tournament Director of South Asia’s only ATP 250 event, the TATA Open Maharashtra, Prashant Sutar has been appointed as the new President of the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA).

Sutar, who began his tennis journey in Sangli, takes over from Shri Bharat Oza, who has now assumed the role of Chairman of the Managing Council of MSLTA.

A longstanding member of the MSLTA council, Sutar has played a key role in organizing major international tennis events such as the Davis Cup, ATP, and WTA tournaments in collaboration with the Maharashtra government. He was also instrumental in MSLTA’s ambitious Tribal Project in Nagpur. Additionally, through his company, he has sponsored top Indian players, including Rohan Bopanna, Sumit Nagal, Anirudh Chandrasekar, and other promising junior players.

Beyond tennis, Sutar is the Chairman and Managing Director of Aryan Pumps & Enviro Solutions, a multinational company based in Pune. The company specializes in developing innovative solutions for environmental cleaning and disaster management. Under his leadership, Aryan Pumps has established a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility producing advanced vehicle-mounted machines designed for desilting and cleaning sewers and canals.

With his extensive experience in both tennis administration and business leadership, Sutar’s appointment is expected to usher in a new era for Maharashtra tennis.
