Report, result, goals as Blues go fourth… after VAR rules out spectacular strikes
Enzo Fernandez headed the 50th-minute winner as Chelsea beat Tottenham to move fourth in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge – after both sides had goals ruled out.
Returning Chelsea top scorer Cole Palmer found Fernandez in space in front of goal to score his fifth league goal of the season and give his side a deserved lead against a Tottenham team who failed to have an attempt on target before the break.

VAR chalks off Caicedo, Sarr goals
Moises Caicedo volleyed in a second for Chelsea six minutes later with a precise and fierce finish after Spurs had partially cleared, only for a lengthy Video Assistant Referee (VAR) check to deem Levi Colwill offside.
Another review 21 minutes from time denied Pape Sarr an equaliser after the midfielder caught goalkeeper Robert Sanchez out from 40 yards, with a check concluding that the substitute had fouled Caicedo in the build-up to the goal.
The result moves Chelsea a point above fifth-placed Manchester City, while only victory would have lifted Tottenham to 13th above Manchester United.
