Ronit Karki’s Roland Garros Boys Singles Run Ends against WR 14


Paris, France – June 2, 2025 – American tennis player Ronit Karki’s impressive run in the Roland Garros Boys Singles event concluded today with a hard-fought 6-1, 2-6, 4-6 second-round loss to World No. 14 Alexander Vasilev.

Karki, ranked 53rd globally, demonstrated immense resilience throughout the match. After a dominant 6-1 first set, the momentum shifted. Despite being up a break in the decisive third set, Karki was unable to hold on, ultimately being broken while serving to stay in the match. This follows his heroic first-round victory over Manas Dhamne.

Ronit Karki will next compete in the Boys Doubles alongside his partner and friend, Jack Satterfield.
