SRH vs PBKS: Punjab Kings records its second-highest PowerPlay score in IPL
Punjab Kings on Saturday registered its second-highest PowerPlay score in the Indian Premier League during its match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The Shreyas Iyer-led side posted 89 for one in the opening six overs. This score toppled the previous second-best of 86 runs which came against the same opposition in 2014.
Its highest team score during this phase of the innings stands at 93 runs, which came against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024.
The early surge was led by the side’s opening salvo. Priyansh Arya scored 36 runs off just 13 deliveries while Prabhsimran Singh added 42 off 23 balls to lead the charge for the Kings.
