Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Catalog Online

The catalog for Book 1 of the 2025 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, which will take place Oct. 7-9, is now online and can be viewed at www.tattersalls.com. Europe’s premier yearling sale numbers 537 lots, all of which are eligible for the industry leading £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus scheme which has paid out £9,620,000 ($12.78 million) in bonus prize money to date to 410 individual winners.

The flagship Tattersalls yearling sale has attracted an outstanding collection of the finest yearlings to be found anywhere in the world, including 11 yearlings by DUBAWI, 30 by FRANKEL, 27 by KINGMAN, 33 by LOPE DE VEGA, 34 by NIGHT OF THUNDER, 27 by NO NAY NEVER, 35 by SEA THE STARS, and 30 by WOOTTON BASSETT. The catalog features own or half-brothers and sisters to a remarkable 50 Classic and Group 1 winners and 264 Group/Listed winners.

The 30 yearlings cataloged by dual Champion sire FRANKEL are led by the own-brother to the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and six-time Group 1 winner ALPINISTA, as well as colts out of an outstanding collection of international Group and Grade 1 winners including the French 1000 Guineas winner PRECIEUSE, dual Australian Group 1 winner CON TE PARTIRO and the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint winner GLASS SLIPPERS, as well as a half-brother to Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner AUNT PEARL. Fillies by FRANKEL include the half-sisters to European Champion Sprinter BATTAASH and to four-time Group 1 winner LUXEMBOURG as well as daughters of Group 1 winners SEA LA ROSA, VILLA MARINA and WONDERFUL TONIGHT.

Leading sire DUBAWI has an exceptional collection of yearlings cataloged led by half-sisters to the Classic winners ST MARK’S BASILICA and MAGNA GRECIA, and to the ‘Arc’ winner and European Champion WALDGEIST, as well as a daughter of beautifully bred Group 1 winner GOD GIVEN. Epsom Classic form is also well represented with the ST MARK’S BASILICA half-brother to Derby winner ANTHONY VAN DYCK and the FRANKEL half-brother to Derby runner up MADHMOON, as well as the filly by PALACE PIER out of the Oaks winner ANAPURNA.

Siblings to global stars cataloged include the TOO DARN HOT half-brother to nine-time Group 1 winner VIA SISTINA, the DARK ANGEL own-brother to European Champion miler CHARYN, and the MEHMAS half-brother to 2025 Grade 1 winner and fellow October Book 1 graduate DYNAMIC PRICING. Well over a third of the yearlings cataloged are by the top ten sires currently standing in Europe and devotees of first season sires are also well catered for with a strong cohort of freshmen represented including Group 1 winners BAAEED, BAYSIDE BOY, BLACKBEARD, MINZAAL, NAVAL CROWN, PERFECT POWER, STATE OF REST, STRADIVARIUS and THUNDER MOON as well as dual Breeders’ Cup winner GOLDEN PAL. Several of the standout young sires of recent seasons are strongly represented with 22 lots cataloged by BLUE POINT, 17 by HAVANA GREY, 22 by MEHMAS and 16 by TOO DARN HOT.

The largest draft comes from the Castlebridge Consignment with 40 lots followed by last year’s leading consignor Newsells Park Stud who will offer 29 yearlings, including the FRANKEL own-brother to last year’s 4,400,000 guineas sale topping filly out of the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes winner ALJAZZI.

£25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus Scheme

Participating owners will receive a £25,000 bonus if their 2025 October Book 1 purchase wins a Class 2, 3 or 4 two year old Maiden or Novice race in Britain run between March 28, 2026 and Nov. 7, 2026 or any ‘Open’ two year old Maiden run in Ireland between March 15, 2026 and Nov. 1, 2026. The cost to enter the £25,000 Tattersalls October ‘Book 1 Bonus’ Scheme will be a single payment of £2,000 and the number of qualifying British and Irish two year old maiden and novice races is greater than 300.

All yearlings sold, bought in or failing to meet their reserve at Book 1 of the 2025 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale will be eligible for the huge bonuses which looks set to provide even more incentives for owners and trainers to buy at Europe’s premier yearling sale.
